Madhugiri - Natural calorie burner

Madhugiri

the second monolith or single hill in the Asia, located in Tumkur district. Its height 1200 meters. 120 km from Bangalore. For more info please Google it.

The trip was planned just 12 hours before, we started our journey at 5:15 am though I wasn't expected!

Its been many days we didn't get up so early and didn't even ride a bike. It was fun riding in semi-dark, weather was good too. Before taking you to a tour, let me introduce my Free-Birdz.

Statuary waring!
The character are “real” and there is a resemblance to each character. Ha ha ha!

Lets sort by Alphabets

Anjali – Purple Ninja Turtle
Anup – N20 booster, Physical trainer or Commando as he discovered this place and made us climb.
Goutham – Lorry driver (Thunder Bird), pillar discoverer, crazy about Gobi-Manchuri.
Neeta – Mask discoverer from Hanky and loud speaker as well.
Pavan – Capturing people's comfort, relax time, also one word questioner like whose? Why? Where?
Prajna - Benazir Bhutto, the hanky professional.
Prena – Spokes person as she give most valuable reasons, also essay writer.
Satyendra – Professional driver, trained hill climber.
Swaroop – Cousin of Anup.
Vishak – Mr. India, as he was lost for 2 hours in hill. Network engineer disconnected!

Here starts journey.

Everyone were driving 90+ initially, considering bike's performance, everyone had a assumption that Goutham would reach faster than anyone else but he was very far. He had to wait for him, which lead to drink a tea.

Journey was smooth and safe until Vishak, Anjali, Pavan and Prena fell on the road due to very slippery mud. The mud was so slippery that you can use this mud as a Engine oil rather than using Engine oil.

Thank God! Nobody was hurt, but our pants and shoes were all muddy.

Again we waited, this time it was Vishak and Anjali. Where we discovered a statue of Lord Shiva, he was huge and was carved single stoned.

You can make out how beautiful weather was!

After taking blessings from Lord Shiva, time to reach our destination. We also discovered statue of Hanuman!

All were hungry as everyone got up early, we were searching for a nice restaurant travelled more than 40km but didn't find any! As we were near to Madhugiri, we found one finally, Madhura Hotel. We ordered Idli-Vada, Upma and Kesari Bath, few members got fresh as well (guess no need to mention)!

Madhugiri hill.

Looking at the hill we were stunned, so huge and ver tall! We started to climb, we were anthusiastic climbing, intially there were good step made out of concrete and stones.

As we started climbing our photo fans started taking pics, for every 15 steps we created a photo studio. Satyendra was frustrated and was screaming at Prajna, "Switch off your phone and keep inside".

Vishak, as he is netorwk engineer, he was finding the minimum shortest path and guess what he succeeded, since then he was disconnected for more than 2 hours.

Time came when we had to climb on a rock, holding the railing.

These seems easy but they aren't! Imagine you are walking 1.2 km that to upwards, where your both hands, legs need to work together.

Anup, was trying some shortcuts, once he succeeded too but there were monkeys in his path and he alone chased all monkeys, they ran away as soon he started climbing, they must be ashamed looking at Anup climbing.

Stone was slippery and it was raining, initially it was easy but reaching at the peak point was too difficult, your whole body will bend towards left and there is no support other than holding these railings. If one step also goes wrong then finish. You will be in hospitalised or dead!

Looking at it, initially everyone said no but got inspired by Prena's words, "Why did we travel for 110 km? Lets to do it"

We finally found Vishak.  He got a partner to climb till the end, its non other than Satyendra. We all stayed back. Waiting for these two to come back.

Goutham started meditating, leaning his back on the tower, which he liked it the most, guess he made it till there only because for that!.

Anjali started her wild-life photography, it reminded me of Madavan in 3 Idiots but we were 10!

People were acting like crazy, mad etc, after reaching such height, usually people get excited and start behaving like monkey but not us! We have crossed that level! We took many photos in craziness.

Vishak and Satyendra reached end of the hill. All others were waiting for them to come and started shouting their names. Luckily Satyendra had carried his phone, they said they will come back in 15 minutes, as usual 15 minutes turned more than a hour.

Round of Applause to these 4 gals who made it till there. Proud of you gals!

Goutham was very hungry and he wanted Gobi-manchuri, he was telling since we climbed the first steps holding railing, expected that we will go to Maduri Hotel itself. The waiter told him it seems that he will prepare North-Indian food including Gobi-Manchuri.

It was awesome to see clouds coming near by us, we could able to sense as fog use to come. It rained there a little, we had a assumption that it will be difficult to get down. When rain stopped and our assumption was wrong. It was than climbing, I use to hear climbing is easy but getting down is tough from Bear Gryll (Man Vs Wild) but not in this case.

Goutham slept down on the roof of prisoner's jail. Like him, we also took rest and ate Oreo.

Time to leave!

We left to have lunch, suppose to go to Madura for Gobi-Manchu but went to Akshata Family Dhaba but didn't see any family. It had a stink of cow-dung, so shifted to other hut. Veggies stayed outside whereas others all in hut.

After lunch back to our Namma-Bengaluru, thought it wont be raining here but rained like hell, I hadn't seen any such rain in Bengaluru.

Hope you liked it. If yes please comment it.
